Our Favorite 2017 Fantasy Football Players by Position, Part 2

Football season is back and in full swing. With all the great Sunday and Monday action that has returned this fall, fantasy football is starting to heat up as well. Through the first third of the fantasy football season, there are many surprises we’ve seen so far. Be it David Johnson getting injured in the 3rd quarter of the first game to the New York Giants starting the season 0-4, the 2017 football season has had some crazy stuff happen thus far. In last month’s blog, we highlighted our top players at the quarterback, running back and wide receiver positions.

This month, we’re going to highlight what we think are the best tight end, defense and kicker players for the remainder of the season.

Tight End – Zach Ertz (Philadelphia Eagles)

This might be quite a surprise, but we have to go with Zach Ertz to be the No. 1 fantasy tight end by the end of the season. With Rob Gronkowski, who hasn’t played a full season since 2011, always having a red flag attached to him when it comes to health and Travis Kelce being touchdown dependent, Zach Ertz could very much be the best fantasy tight end of 2017. Leading all tight ends in receptions, yards and targets, Zach Ertz’s volume just can’t be rivaled. In an era where most tight ends have become touchdown dependent, Zach Ertz is a monster in PPR and even non-PPR leagues.

Defense – Jaguars (Jacksonville Jaguars)

Although maybe a surprise to some, the Jacksonville defense has proved that they should be in the discussion as one of the best fantasy defenses. Their 18 sacks, which leads all of football, partnered with upcoming elite corner Jalen Ramsey and newcomer A.J. Bouye help give Jacksonville a balanced defense of getting to the QB and the ability to intercept passes. Only the Baltimore Ravens and Detroit Lions have more interceptions than the young Jacksonville secondary. Their remaining schedule helps make the Jaguars the real deal.

Kicker – Greg Zuerlein (Los Angeles Rams)

Among the many things that are real this football season, the LA Rams are one of them. New head coach Sean McVay and legendary defensive coordinator Wade Phillips have helped create a new culture in Los Angeles. With surprisingly one of the best offenses in football at 35.5 points scored per game through 4 weeks, long leg Greg Zuerlein is sure to be getting plenty of XP attempts. Zuerlein is also a perfect 14-for-14 on field goal attempts. Zuerlein is a perfect 28-for-28 on all kicking opportunities. Even better, the sneaky great kicker is still available in more than 30% of leagues!

John and Barbara Vicich

“We wanted to thank you for your personal and specialized attention to the water problem we had in our basement. You took the time to inspect the whole situation and gave us recommendations, all of which worked. You had a way of explaining the process and materials that would be used in a way that we understood. We are very pleased with the work that was done and would highly recommend your company to anyone.”

Debbie, Berwyn

“The day after Hurricane Irene, all of my neighbors basements were filled with water, while mine remained dry! It is wonderful, everything remains dry and the battery backup worked beautifully when my power was out for 2 days. Dry AND quiet, thank you, thank you! Thanks! Debbie, Berwyn”

Doug Smith, Glenside

“All I have to say is that Hurricane Irene was no match for the job that Rightway did for my basement and my father-in-law’s. I had my basement done 5 years ago and we are still bone dry and my father-inlaw’s was done last year and another dry basement… Great job! I highly recommend them for waterproofing and mold remediation.”

“I’d highly recommend these guys for your basement. My basement has been dry since they installed a sump pump and French drain in June. They offer a competitive price, they get the job done quickly and they stand by their work. Please mention my name if you proceed down the road with these guys.”

Angelo and Sandra Patiri

“We had our basement waterproofed with Rightway Waterproofing in 2007, after all this time and just getting through Hurricane Irene, we did not get a drop of water in our basement. Rightway Waterproofing did a very good job and we are very satisfied!”
