What Our Clients are Saying
about Rightway Waterproofing
Since our founding more than two decades ago, we’ve been providing honest estimates, great customer relations and sturdy, long-lasting work. Our standards are high, because the welfare of our clients’ homes is at stake. Whether it’s refinishing a basement or ridding a basement of black mold, we approach every project as though we’re working on our own homes. We don’t subcontract, we don’t use hard-sell scare tactics, and we don’t forget to call when the job is done – to make sure it was done right.
Here are a few quotes from some of the reviews we’re especially proud of.
As a single woman, I appreciate that they didn’t ask if I was married, and if I would be the only person making the decision.
Half the world’s population is female – meaning roughly half our clients will be female as well. We wouldn’t be doing ourselves, or our clients, any favors by talking down to them just because they’re women.
I was extremely impressed with Andy Kevitch, who is one of the co-owners of the company. He arrived on schedule to evaluate what needed to be done, was very thorough in his explanation and wrote a very detailed description of the work he recommended, leaving me with a written estimate that I was able to review at my own pace. This was in stark contrast to other contractors I interviewed who strong-armed me with high pressure tactics.
We know that an educated client is one that makes the best decision. And bad decisions lead to bad feelings. We’ll be straight with you – if the job you want done isn’t one for a basement waterproofing contractor, we’ll let you know. We want our clients to associate positive memories and feelings with our business – and nothing creates bad feelings like bad decisions.
We had out three other contractors–all of which were high pressure and really wanted us to sign a contract that night. Not to mention their prices were ridiculously high! We decided to go with Right Way. They came out installed the job in one day. The men were very nice and informative. They cleaned up after themselves and the job looked great. I was very satisfied with Right Way’s work. The owner even followed up with me a week or so later after a rain storm to make sure our basement was dry, and it was!
If your basement isn’t dry after the first big storm, we haven’t done our job right. That’s why we keep in touch with you even after we finish the project.
Great crew that installed it, and the owner, Ross, was really knowledgeable about the product and how it would it transform my basement into a room I enjoy having – instead of a cold, dark basement.
Your basement is part of your home – why ignore it? We’ll help you clean it up, waterproof it, and turn it into something you can use for something other than storing the Christmas decorations.
Even More Happy Customers

I’ve had many work projects, new kitchen, siding, etc., and this was the best experience I have had. David, sales, was on time, thoroughly explained what would be done and scheduled the work. He handled any questions or issues. He also provided me with his cell number, that I could call at any time. My calls were returned quickly.
They worked extremely hard in my opinion! The crew cleaned up after themselves and I have no complaints. In fact, the basement might be cleaner than before they came.
We consulted three [basement] waterproofing companies to also look at [our] problem. After feeling the most comfortable with Right Way, we chose them to do the waterproofing. The test came the week after the job was done with a week straight of rain (sometimes very hard rains) and no water.
[Another local basement waterproofing company] waterproofed our home three years ago but we had water in our basement today! I called them back and they came out and said another $800 would fix it. I wasn’t happy with that considering they’d waterproofed 3 years prior so I called RIGHTWAY !! I’m glad I did. RIGHTWAY looked at the problem and disagreed with the solution for the problem. RIGHT WAY told us instead how we could fix the problem ourselves at next to no cost. This is a company that could have made money on this job but instead presented integrity, honesty and support at no cost. I will use them in the future if I ever need to.
The workers were polite and highly professional. The job was started and completed on time. They left the basement and garage cleaner than when they arrived. When the crew was finished, June, the foreman, walked us through, and when we had a question or a request he was more than happy to help — a genuinely nice guy. It’s been 2.5 months and even with heavy rains and melting snow, the basement is bone dry and the musty smell is gone.
This company was by far the most competitive price wise. Their salesman seemed to be the most honest. In terms of doing the work they were very professional and polite. I really didn’t have any problems with them at all. The finished product has turned out fine and we have had no problems since they have done the work about three months ago.
Although we have water coming in our basement by the bilco doors whenever it rains the company was honest enough to tell us that our problem is primarily landscape and gutter related. He suggested that we hire a landscaper to build up the ground in a couple of places to make use of existing drains. He is willing to install a floor drain by the bilco doors, but thought that we should pursue the other options first.
I was very impressed with the knowledge and low key approach the salesman offered in our initial meeting. Naturally, I got three quotes for the work to be done. After a few phone calls to all bidders, we had decided to give the work to another company based solely on the bottom line in spite of the fact that we liked Rightway from the start. What we liked that was they didn’t sub-contract their work and that all work was going to be done my their own employees. We liked that they had been in business for a while and when we called the company we didn’t get a personal phone number and message. We like that they gave a lifetime guarantee. We liked that they hadn t changed the name of their company and they didn’t pull the high-pressure sales method that some companies do (we need you and your wife there or we won t come out, sorry company policy). Most importantly, they had great reviews on Angie s List. But, the other company had simply outbid them enough to turn our heads. Out of courtesy, I called Rightway to let them know we were going in another direction and they made a last minute bid which did not match the other company but made close enough that we felt good about it. They came in did the work they said they would and so far so great.
Basement Waterproofers are popping up everywhere. Most are dishonest and inexperienced. We interviewed a number of companies in our home. We were stunned at the number of companies who were so brazenly unscrupulous. From the guy who told us we could get our doctor to submit a form that would enable us to write off the entire job if we just told him we were choking on the mold in our basement to the guy who told us he could get the entire job done "today" if we would just sign the contract right now. When Andy Kevitch, the rep from Rightway visited our home, we knew right away that Rightway was different. Andy took the time to look at our basement, and offer an honest assessment as well as thoroughly answer our questions. We did our research before we called anyone, so we were prepared and were able to determine that the folks from Rightway were who we were looking for. They performed the work correctly, and our basement is dry and smells great. No more mold. No more wet basement!
They started the job promptly on Monday morning and were finished by Wednesday afternoon. The walls came out great and the drains and pump were done well. We did have a couple of issues during the job but Rightway rectified both issues right away without any fuss. The guys accidentally cemented over a fireplace cleanout, but they fixed that right away and the repair is invisible. You’d never know it was done. I also found a few of bits and pieces of the asbestos tiles when I began moving stuff around to work on the basement. The guys were back first thing Monday morning and spent 2 hours cleaning everything up. They even cleaned up things that had nothing to do with the tiles. Problems are going to happen, the real measure of a company is how they respond to customers issues. They came through with flying colors.
They were great from start to finish. The sales rep came to our home and was extremely knowledgeable and professional. We felt immediately comfortable and we were able to get a quality estimate of what we needed done. Once the rep had drawn up a proposal of work required, we were sold. We had had a few other companies (who shall remain nameless) who completely ruined any chance of our business with scare-tactic presentations and strong-arm, high pressure attitudes.
Very good experience. They were helpful and informative and didn’t try to pressure me or use scare tactics. It really just came down to the other company needing the work so much that they made us a great offer.
Right Way Waterproofing was the third company we interviewed to make the repairs needed. This was the first of three to actually show up on time. Andrew’s presentation was very professional in nature and very detail oriented (with NO scare tactics). My husband (planning to be there from the start) was very impressed with the company’s scope of work, professionalism and fair price. The price was in the middle of the other two companies, however, we were getting much more for our money. The work was completed a few weeks later and we are extremely happy with our decision to hire Right Way Waterproofing.

This was in stark contrast to other contractors I interviewed who strongarmed me with high pressure tactics. When I gave the work to Rightway, Andy arranged for a crew to put in a new sump pump ahead of schedule as an emergency remedy to replace the old one which had died and buy enough time for the full job to be scheduled. The work crew arrived on time, worked efficiently and very neatly, did an excellent job, cleaned up after themselves, and finished ahead of schedule. I was very impressed with their workmanship, their attitude, and their finished project. A few days after the work was done, Andy inspected the basement to make sure the work was done right.
